Network Attached Storage from FortuNAS combines iSCSI and NAS in a single storage solution. NAS capabilities providing shared disk space for servers / workstations or iSCSI to operating systems that view the disk as locally attached which enables users to format/partition the disk to run applications.

The 12I models can also be supplied with SAS or SATA disk drives. All SATA disk drives supplied are the Seagate Enterprise SATA version and all SAS models are 15k rpm with the exception of the 400GB SAS which is only 10k rpm.
